1. Education, not medical advice

The Trust Ladder guides, kits, playbooks and trackers are general educational information for parents and caregivers of young children. They are not medical, nutritional, psychological or therapeutic advice, and they are not a diagnosis or treatment of any condition. We are not your child’s doctor, dietitian, feeding therapist or psychologist, and using our products does not create a professional relationship with you or your child.

2. When to talk to a professional

Most picky eating is a common stage, but some signs need a professional. Talk to your child’s pediatrician, and stop any activity that worries you, if you notice weight loss or poor weight gain, gagging, choking, coughing or vomiting at meals, avoidance of whole textures or food groups, signs of pain, a very short list of accepted foods, or anything else that concerns you. The Starter Guide includes a “When to get help” page, but it does not replace professional advice. If you think your child is choking or in an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.

3. Allergies, safety and special needs

The guides do not tell you which foods are safe for your child. Check with your child’s doctor about allergies, choking hazards, medical conditions, sensory or developmental needs, and any diet restrictions. Always supervise young children around food, small items such as stickers and printed pieces, and craft supplies. Cut and prepare food in a way that is safe for your child’s age.

4. Profiles and quizzes

The eater “profiles” and quiz in the Playbooks are practical groupings created to make the plan easier to use. They are not diagnoses, are not clinically validated, and should not be used to label your child.

5. Software and compatibility

The guides are PDFs. The optional Trust Tracker is built for Microsoft Excel. Other spreadsheet programs and older versions may not support every feature. We are not responsible for loss caused by changes you make to the files, third-party software, or data you enter.

6. No affiliation

The Trust Ladder is independently operated. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft, Whop, Meta, any medical organization, food brand, researcher or author named in the guides. When we refer to published research or feeding approaches, we do so only to explain ideas and give credit. Names and marks belong to their owners.
